Bakugan Battle Brawlers is the next generation of monster dueling. The game is based on the popular anime television show of the same name that aired on American television in 2007. The plot is that of many other monster battle shows, bringing the twist with the transformation of the monsters from marbles to combat ready creatures. Ultimately the storyline revolves around Dan and his friends fighting against a mysterious player called 'Masquerade' to protect not only the brawlers themselves but Earth and the parallel universe of Vestroia. The Game: The Bakugans are small colored spheres that morphed into Bakugan warriors when they are rolled and landed on the Bakugan Cards. Each player begins with 3 Bakugan Brawlers and 3 cards, one of which is the ability card. Each player places a card face down, but the ability card cannot be use on your first turn.
Each player the shoot a Bakugan and brawl! If the Bakugan does not open, the player loses a turn. If the Bakugan lands on a card with another Bakugan and both stand up, they battle. To Battle the Bakugan, look at the cards, compare the G power of the Bakugans and the value of the cards. The Bakugan with the most G powers wins the battle and the winning player gets to capture the defeated Bakugan and its card. When all of your Bakugans and cards are captured, you loose. The winner takes all!
The game is played with a minimum of three creatures but each player must have an equal number of Bakugan and cards. This is nice because it takes away any disadvantage for a player that only has three Bakugan against another that has the whole collection. Once the game starts both experienced collectors and beginning players are evenly matched.
It is a story of Dan Kuso and his five online friends who started playing Bakugan when game cards started mysteriously falling from the sky. They learned that Bakugan monsters exist in the dimension of Vestoria. They battle their Bakugan monsters to save the parallel universe of Vestroia and ultimately the Earth from destruction.
Most of these Bakugans are small and can be easily carried in the pocket, but there is the majestic Deka which is larger than a tennis ball. Kids adore collecting all of these figures as much as they enjoy playing with them.
